Davelandblog is in the middle of a series of posts about the construction of the Monsanto House of the Future at Disneyland. For such a plastic house, there sure is a lot of cement!
I swear I saw Bob Vila in one of those pictures.
Don't forget to share some Disney Geek love with him (leave him a comment).

Thanks for stopping by!
We try to bring a little levity to the Disney community.
As always, thanks for the shout out. On my HOF construction photos, I really half expected to see Walt on the site—wonder how hands on he was with that project since it wasn’t his creation?
Dave,
I am almost finished with the Neal Gabler biography (it is as long as most Harry Potter books) and they just talked about House of the Future. He wrote that at this point in Walt's life, he was focused on keeping the legacy of the company alive and planning Epcot. According the the bio, Walt was only visiting Disneyland once a month and was leaving the care and maintenance of it in the hands of others.
Neal wrote that Walt just signed off on the project without really looking at it.
I have to admit, that reading that section was a little disheartening. I expected Walt to be there most of the time.
thanks for the info; that makes sense though. had the HOF been under construction a few years ago, I am sure Walt would have been in every picture wearing a hard hat!
